Returns the first Point in a LineString.

Syntax

ST_STARTPOINT(<geometry_or_geography>)

Arguments

Arguments	Description
<geometry_or_geography>	The argument must be an expression of type GEOMETRY or GEOGRAPHY that represents a LineString.

Return Type

Geometry.
